The Great Waters Group has been devoted to protecting our environment and helping people to explore and enjoy the outdoors for over 50 years.

In the past your donations have helped:
• Fight We Energies’ coal-burning plants in Oak Creek
• Advocate for recycling and reduced use of plastic
• Protect land at the County Grounds
• Protect lands along Lake Michigan, specifically Kohler-Andrae State Park and Clay Bluffs Cedar Gorge preserve
• Support the startup of Nearby Nature, an environmental justice and equity initiative to build healthier and more resilient communities

In the coming years, your contributions will help:
• Take on new challenges related to environmental justice and climate change
• Fund the printed newsletter local members receive
• Keep our monthly programs free to attend
• Sponsor Earth Day events and cleanups
• Honor local African American pioneers
