The Four Lakes Group is your local branch of the Sierra Club. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to environmental education and conservation. We are one of six Groups in the Wisconsin Chapter.

The Four Lakes Group includes more than 5,500 members in the counties of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Rock and Sauk.

Our main campaigns are:
Beyond Coal - moving our local utility MG&E to renewable energy sources

Parks, Public Lands and Access - we all need access to the outdoors including our local public lands and parks. We are championing the Every Kid Outdoors program, working on transportation access and providing outdoor experiences through events and outings.

Trees for a Tomorrow - our newest campaign. By conserving existing tree coverage and planting additional trees, we can tackle shade for all, lowering summer temperatures in neighborhoods and the absorption of green house gases.

Transportation - Together, we are working for a cleaner, more resilient transportation system with improvements to increase access to jobs, healthcare and education and design changes to improve safety and address inequities.

The Four Lakes Group goal is $1000 by the end of the year (2022). We want to be able to support the projects and advocacy work of our volunteers and teams as they make plans for 2023.
