2022 Wildlife Team

The wildlife who share our state’s wild places and public lands with us are vital to Wisconsin’s past, present and future. That’s why our Wildlife Team is working so hard to conserve our state’s wild animals and protect them from management actions lacking scientific or ethical support. Over the past year, our team members have contributed a great deal of time and effort to effect positive change for Wisconsin wildlife—particularly, wolves since the species’ delisting in January—and to participate in decision-making processes underway at the state level. But there is still so much more to do, which is why we are asking for you to support our ongoing work, which includes:

• Promoting wolf education and wildlife coexistence values;
• Opposing legislation authorizing hunting of sandhill cranes;
• Working to ensure that the state’s updated Wolf Management Plan reflects best available science and widespread public support for wolf conservation;
• Participating in legal efforts underway to ensure that Tribal treaty rights relating to wildlife conservation are honored and upheld.

Your donation is an investment in protecting our state’s incomparable wildlife and public lands, and enables our dedicated volunteers and staff to represent and advocate for your interests. These funds will not only help us push back against special interest agendas which place our wildlife in dire risk, especially wolves, but also work to ensure other environmental priorities, including safe and clean drinking water, equitable transit options, and a more just future for all.

Our Wildlife Team goal is $1200. You can help us reach (or even surpass!) that by making a donation. And when you do, let us know why you care about nature in the “Words of Encouragement” box. We’d love to hear from you!

Funds raised will support the Wisconsin Chapter's work across the board. The Sierra Club Wisconsin Chapter is making our communities better – protecting Wisconsin's natural places and working hard to ensure clean air and water for all. When we succeed, Wisconsin succeeds.

Thanks so much!
